Cultural Diversity Becomes a Strength in the Workplace: "Teamwork in Action" Project Begins in Madrid

The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project "Teamwork in Action" (Project No: 2025-1-ES02-KA152-YOU-000300857), coordinated by KUFF Asociación de Solidaridad con Refugiados y Minorías, will bring young people together in Madrid, Spain, from 8–14 October 2025 to promote intercultural cooperation and inclusive workplaces.

The project is implemented in partnership with KUFF Refugees and Minorities Solidarity Association (Spain), Trabzon Kadın Hakları Komisyonu (Türkiye), We As One (Latvia), Asociația DIVIT (Romania), and Kisebbségi Egyenlőség Mozgalma Egyesülete (Hungary).

As today's workplaces become increasingly multicultural, people from different cultural backgrounds work side by side more than ever before. However, when cultural diversity is not managed effectively, it can lead to prejudice, discrimination, communication barriers, and social exclusion. Teamwork in Action has been designed to demonstrate that cultural differences are not obstacles but valuable assets that strengthen teamwork, creativity, and innovation.

Throughout the project, participants will have the opportunity to explore different cultures, challenge stereotypes, and develop greater awareness of diversity, equality, and inclusion. Through non-formal learning activities, they will improve their intercultural communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills while gaining practical experience in working within diverse international teams.

The project also aims to promote the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and increase awareness of the value of the Youthpass Certificate. In addition, participants will strengthen their foreign language skills, develop a stronger sense of European identity and global citizenship, and learn how cultural diversity can contribute to more inclusive and productive working environments.

By empowering young people with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to thrive in multicultural workplaces, Teamwork in Action seeks to build a more tolerant, inclusive, and cooperative future where diversity is recognized as one of society's greatest strengths.
