Learning from Experience: Participants Discover Inclusive Workplaces and Madrid's Cultural Heritage

The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project "Teamwork in Action" (Project No: 2025-1-ES02-KA152-YOU-000300857), coordinated by KUFF Asociación de Solidaridad con Refugiados y Minorías, continued in Madrid, Spain with the participation of KUFF Refugees and Minorities Solidarity Association (Spain), Trabzon Kadın Hakları Komisyonu (Türkiye), We As One (Latvia), Asociația DIVIT (Romania), and Kisebbségi Egyenlőség Mozgalma Egyesülete (Hungary). The fourth project day focused on connecting the project's learning outcomes with real-life experiences while strengthening participants' intercultural awareness.

The day began with a Stakeholder Institution Visit, where participants met representatives of a local organization to learn more about its work, mission, and contribution to society. They explored how cultural diversity can become a strength in professional environments and exchanged ideas on intercultural communication, teamwork, and inclusive workplace practices. The visit also provided participants with valuable insights into the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and the importance of international cooperation.

In the afternoon, participants took part in the Madrid Culture and History Tour, discovering the city's historical landmarks, cultural heritage, and vibrant social life. Rather than being simply a sightseeing activity, the tour encouraged participants to compare different cultural traditions, reflect on shared European values, and deepen their understanding of Spain's history and identity.

Later, during the Youthpass Certificate Reflection Session, participants reviewed the knowledge, skills, and competences they had developed throughout the project. By reflecting on their personal learning journey and sharing experiences with one another, they prepared meaningful contributions for their Youthpass Certificates while recognizing their progress in intercultural communication, teamwork, leadership, and personal development.

The day concluded with the project's overall evaluation, where participants provided feedback on the activities, reflected on their achievements, and discussed how they would apply their newly acquired knowledge in their professional and personal lives. The fourth day highlighted that intercultural learning extends beyond workshops, becoming most meaningful when combined with real-life experiences and personal reflection.
