From April 29 to May 5, 2025, the “Rebirth: Climate Crisis and Migration” Youth Workers Mobility project was successfully held in Alcobendas/Madrid.

Hosted in Spain, the project brought together youth workers from Türkiye, Estonia, Italy, Romania, Hungary, and Macedonia. Among the 23 participants, there were also youth workers facing fewer opportunities due to economic or geographical barriers.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in a variety of impactful activities:

Created digital collages of pre-war and post-war city photos and shared them with the local community,

Delivered presentations highlighting the negative impacts of wars on water resources,

Explored the question “What would our environment look like if wars had never happened?” through creative scenarios,

Produced artworks from recycled materials and exhibited them to the people of Alcobendas,

Discussed the environmental consequences of wars using data and statistics,

Strengthened cooperation and environmental awareness by organizing a puzzle activity with the local community using recyclable materials.

These activities not only enhanced the knowledge and awareness of the participants but also encouraged the local community to reflect on issues such as environmental challenges, peace, and sustainable living.

“Rebirth: Climate Crisis and Migration” brought together youth workers from different cultures, fostering solidarity while promoting environmental awareness through creativity, art, and participatory methods.
