As the KUFF Refugees and Minorities Solidarity Association, wew carried out our youth workers mobility project  "The Displaced: On Refugee Lives" with the reference number 2023-1-ES02-KA153-YOU-000116946. This Mobility of Youth Workers project brought together partner countries Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia, and Hungary, united by a shared commitment to addressing refugee issues and fostering awareness. The project lasted from February 4th to February 10th, 2024.

"The Displaced: On Refugee Lives" sought to delve deep into the multifaceted challenges faced by refugees, emphasizing empathy and understanding. The project aimed to empower youth workers with insights into the complex realities of displacement and the hurdles refugees encounter in their journey to safety. Recognizing the power of dialogue in breaking down barriers, the project facilitated meaningful exchanges between youth workers from diverse backgrounds. The aim was to create a platform for sharing experiences, insights, and best practices in supporting refugees.

Our project had a broader mission to raise awareness on a global scale. By leveraging the experiences and learnings of the participating youth workers, the project sought to create a ripple effect of awareness, encouraging communities to stand in solidarity with refugees. The project facilitated the creation of collaborative solutions addressing refugee issues. Participants worked together to develop impactful initiatives that could challenge stereotypes, and promote inclusivity for displaced individuals.

Through this project, we and our partners aimed to fostering a global community that embraces compassion and understanding. Through this Mobility of Youth Workers project, the ripple effect of awareness and advocacy initiated in Madrid is set to create lasting change. As we reflect on the experiences of the participants, it is evident that empowering youth workers plays a pivotal role in creating a more compassionate and inclusive world for those who have been forcibly displaced.
